About us

Solcentric is an MSC accredited company from Cornwall that strives to make the installation of solar panels and other renewable energy systems easy and cost effective.

Solcentric was started in 1995 by Richard Bicknell following ten years relying on solar and wind charging devices in the marine industry. This led to building an off-grid solar powered house and undertaking a postgraduate MSc degree in renewable energy at DeMontford University.

We are based in Feock, nr Truro in Cornwall, though we distribute nationwide. In fact we have solar panel systems in France, Spain, Portugal and Africa.

We now have a network of suppliers that enable us to put together extremely good value and good quality solar pv and solar thermal systems.

As an MCS accredited company, everything we supply has been tried and tested to rigorous standards, so we are able to answer questions knowledgeably and specify the correct size of solar system for your needs. Our experience has enabled us to accumulate all sorts of tips and shortcuts to help make solar installations as easy as possible, and everything is in stock!

For those who are self-installers, our DIY solar thermal kits come with everything required to complete the installation, including comprehensive instructions and a back up phone service to answer any questions that may occur.
