About us

Solcentric is an MSC accredited company from Cornwall that strives to make the installation of renewable energy easy and cost effective.

Solcentric was started in 1995 by Richard Bicknell following ten years relying on solar and wind charging devices in the marine industry. This led to building an off-grid solar powered house and undertaking a postgraduate MSc degree in renewable energy at DeMontford University.

We are based in Truro in Cornwall, though we distribute nationwide. In fact we have systems installed in France, Spain, Portugal and Africa.

We now have a network of suppliers that enable us to put together extremely good value and good quality systems.

As an MCS accredited company, everything we supply has been tried and tested, so we are able to answer questions knowledgeably and specify the correct size of system for your needs. Our experience has enabled us to accumulate all sorts of tips and shortcuts to help make installations as easy as possible, and everything is in stock!

Systems come with everything required to complete the installation including comprehensive instructions and a back up phone service to answer any questions that may occur.
